Remote Monitoring

Automated data collection is greatly simplified using our low cost GCM controller module, but perhaps the greatest feature of the GCM is its ability to transmit readings and receive new instructions from a web server. No computer programming is needed. Our software on the web server can accept simultaneous connections from virtually any number of internet modems without the need to schedule individual transmission times. All readings are written to a database, and a user can query the database and plot results via a standard web browser. In addition to wireless internet modems, we have experience using spread spectrum and land line modems.

Please visit our "Data View" page to see a sample application of remote data collection with data plots and tables.

Case History - Soil Nail Wall

We installed strain gauges on steel bars used as soil nails for an 80 foot high earth rentention system for the Stanley Hall project at UC Berkeley. We provided continuous monitoring services using our GCM controller module and a wireless internet modem. Our GST modules obtained readings from 80 strain gauge sensors using a single cable.
